Anyone good with PCs? Or know someone who is? I need some advice on some things
I wanna build a gaming PC, and it'll be the first I ever build, but I wanna make sure I'm doing everything right so I'm not wasting money

Didja miss me? Bet you thought this account was dead, right? Haha, well kinda. I haven't actively used dA in a looonngg time, and haven't had anything to upload recently either. So just a reminder, you can follow me on twitter (https://twitter.com/Champloon1) where I do a lot of posts, or FA (https://www.furaffinity.net/user/champloon/) where I'm a bit better checking messages. Can also do Discord if I know you well enough.
Update, where to find the boi
Might as well make one before this site implodes
Haven't been active for awhile here, hell, my last journal was from 2018. Most people I know aren't on here anymore (or at least have better places to talk to them), which is why I haven't been either.
While I'll still upload an occasional art piece I'm proud of, just letting you know that I'm usually much more active over on https://twitter.com/Champloon1
Discord Server
Hey people, you all should join this super cool server my friend ~mangarrow (https://www.deviantart.com/mangarrow) made! We go artists, writers, and just a bunch of people that like hanging out, talking, and being goofs

Hey
So I'm learning to make art, and figured instead of spamming it here, I'd put it on twitter
Also a way for me to do furry shit without people I know IRL seeing

Hi there!
I saw your link to "pcbuildsonabudget", and it looks pretty good. There may be better bang for your buck if you went with an AMD processor instead of an Intel one.
You can likely get a cheaper motherboard also, since if you've never built a PC before, you probably aren't going to need fancy features, and if you're trying to stick to a budget, you'll not need more than a single PCI-ex16 slot for a second graphics card.
If you're not planning on getting a boot SSD, then a single TB of storage ought to be just fine.
Also, mostly an aesthetic thing, but if you have a single drive and get a mini-ITX or micro-ATX motherboard by dropping the extra PCI-e slots, you could probably get a smaller case, too.
Other thing to consider is whether or not you need a Wi-fi card, since those are a fairly cheap but fairly important part, and can influence what motherboard you can use, since they take up a PCI-ex1 slot.
I'll try to cook up a few options. You're in the US, right?
Also, rest assured that building a PC is simple. Just be careful, don't drop anything, and kludge together some static protection at very least.

Had a spare minute: i5-4690 and GTX 970 3.5 GB
